We still have ten more days left in 2017, but 2018 is already looking pretty damn good for Mindy Kaling!

As you likely heard, the 38-year-old actress just welcomed her first child into the world—a baby girl named Katherine Kaling—and while motherhood will certainly be one of the greatest joys of her life, she also has quite a few other things to look forward to this year.

From a major movie to a new show, a remake of a classic hit and a revival of one of our favorite series, here's why 2018 may just be Mindy's best year yet...

Motherhood: This list wouldn't be right if we didn't put motherhood at the very top.

Mindy has opened a new chapter of her book after welcoming her daughter into the world on Dec. 15. Becoming a mother was something she openly discussed with excitement, and following her pregnancy news, it only continued.

"I'd like to be the fun mom, I know I'm gonna be the dorky mom," she told NBC's Today show in August. "So if I can be kind of fun too, I think that would be nice."

Movies: Aside from taking on motherhood, Mindy is also taking on some major roles next year.

For starters, she's part of the bad ass, all-female cast of Oceans Eight, which is already one of the most anticipated films of 2018. In the flick—coming out in June—Mindy teamed up with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including: Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Sarah Paulson and Awkwafina.

But that's not all!

She was also cast in another highly-anticipated flickAva DuVernay's adaption of of A Wrinkle in Time, which is due out in March. She stars alongside Reese Witherspoon, Oprah Winfrey, Chris Pine and more. Mindy will play one of the astral travelers, Mrs. Who, while Witherspoon plays Mrs. Whatsit and Oprah plays Mrs. Which.

Just last night, Mindy tweeted at Duvernay that she can't wait for her daughter to see the flick. "So excited to show #WrinkleInTime to her," she wrote.

Shows: Mindy isn't just spending her time on the silver screen, however. She's also got quite a few things in the works on the small screen, too.

First and foremost, before welcoming her baby girl into the world, she was busy working on her upcoming NBC series Champions, which she not only executive produces but also stars in. The show is expected to air sometime next year.

But perhaps even more exciting are the rumors that The Office might be making a return as well in 2018.

Though nothing is confirmed just yet, Mindy has previously noted she'd want to take part in a revival.

"I loved working on the show and I was there for eight years," she told The Talk back in September. "I think that if Greg Daniels, who did the American version of the show, he's such a genius, and if he were to be in charge of it, I can't imagine that I wouldn't want to help out in some way, or write, and I feel like probably the rest of the cast feels the same."
