Daredevil

Yawn. This Daredevil doesn't take any risks. The film adaptation of the Marvel comic finds Ben Affleck playing a blind lawyer who moonlights as a vigilante, squaring off against the assassin Bullseye (Colin Farrell), crime lord Kingpin (Michael Clarke Duncan) and even his own gal-pal Elektra (Jennifer Garner). The film takes a much needed dark 'n' gritty approach (which may freak out some kids) and has good casting in Garner, Duncan and an on-target Farrell.
But Affleck has a hard time ruling the screen, the "funny" moments feel wedged in and The Matrix-like fighting--as we all learned from Charlie's Angels--looks silly when it's not in the The Matrix. Much better than Batman & Robin, not as exciting as X-Men and hardly as fun as Spider-Man, this flick isn't super.
