Summer is a busy time for celebs.

Between their sun-drenched destinations of our dreams and the yacht excursions, it's a season of extravagant adventure. But it's also a time for celebs like Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara to catch up on their reading. Whether they're packing their beach totes with a good thriller or hanging poolside with a sultry romance novel, it seems like stars are spending as much time with books as they are on boats this season.

So we're taking notes.

Even if you're not heading to a tropical paradise, don't set out for the beach without considering one of these celebrity-approved summer reads. Sometimes, the best travel accessory is the latest New York Times best seller. If these novels are keeping your favorite stars hooked, there's a good chance you won't be able to put them down either.

Ready, set, read.
