This sounds like some evil plot: Release a space adventure so awful it'll have disappointed audiences hungrily lining up for the studio's next sci-fi release, a little something called The Phantom Menace. Maybe not. But here's what you do get from this flick based on the video game: It's a few hundred years in the future, the evil Kilrati have attacked the good guys, war has broken out and now, dare we say, the future of Earth lies in the balance.
The hero, Freddie Prinze Jr., has some sort of Pilgrim blood from a familial history of mixed breeds, which we learn is bad but gives him powers that make him the go-to guy of fighter pilots. A good bet for one of the worst movies of the year.
