Ashton Kutcher doesn't like salad, but he has promised to simmer down on his public outrage at his neighbor.

Thursday morning, the star used multiple media platforms to vent about the noisy nearby construction that started at 7 a.m. and woke him and wife Demi Moore from their slumber.

Initially, the star took to Twitter and his videoblog, threatening, "I'm gonna lose it on this guy!" Later in the day, however, the Punk'd dude recalled that the man next door, reportedly a screenwriter named Bruce Goldsmith, put up with Kutcher's own $3 million, 6,716 square-foot home's construction. Additionally, he was reminded that L.A. Department of Building and Safety codes allowed such hammering and nailing to begin at 7 a.m.

Alas, the star put down his ax and took to the Internet once again.

"I pledge to be more tolerant of my neighbors 7 am hammering," he tweets. "Calming down repenting."

In his Qik video, he continues to see the error of his ways, admitting, "I'm a bit vulnerable at 7 a.m., and I like my alarm clock to be a nice tune—maybe John Mayer or something sweet like that—as opposed to banging."

He furthers his point by saying he thinks his home's construction crew waited to start until 8 a.m., but then decides not to go into it. Instead, he thanks the Twitter universe for his morning entertainment and blabs about his latest projects until his wife calls.

She says hi, by the way.

UPDATE: The perky pair share yet another video from this morning's activities! This time, they're blasting Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes," holding up a sign and tossing construction workers bottles of juice. Awww...
