Silicon Valley star T.J. Miller was arrested for battery early Friday morning, E! News confirms. The LAPD tells E! News that Miller was initially placed under citizen's arrest. Police were then called to Miller's house, but when authorities first arrived he was not on the scene. When he eventually arrived police took him into custody.

Miller has since been released on $20,000 bail and was given a statement to appear in court at a later date. According to reports, Miller got into a fight with his Uber driver. Miller allegedly slapped the driver in the head, which prompted the citizen's arrest.

Prior to Miller's tumultuous evening, however, the Office Christmas Party actor had a busy day and night. First, Miller stopped by Conan O'Brien's studio to tape an appearance on Conan, which aired late Thursday night. After filming his fun segment, the comedian attended GQ's Men of the Year party at Chateau Marmont with his wife, actress Kate Gorney, alongside stars such as Ryan Reynolds, Warren Beatty, James Marsden, Kevin Hart, Milo Ventimiglia and more.

But his night didn't end there. Miller then made his way to Vulture's awards season party at the Sunset Tower Hotel.

Miller's role as Erlich on HBO's Silicon Valley has earned him two Critics' Choice Television nominations and one win. But come Sunday he'll be taking on a very different role: host of the Critics' Choice Awards. Fans and viewers will just have to wait until Sunday to see if the host will make light of his arrest.
