If anyone knows what fast looks like, it's Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna.

To say they've had a whirlwind year would be putting it lightly. Only three months after the couple confirmed their relationship, Rob proposed to Chyna in April. They announced their engagement on social media following a wild night out at Los Angeles gentlemen's club Ace of Diamonds.

"YES !...!...!" she captioned a photo of her and her beau on Instagram. In the picture, the 28-year-old model sported a huge round-cut sparkler on that finger while squeezing Rob's cheeks. The size of Rob's grin said it all. The romantic moments continued, and about a month later the duo returned to social media to make another huge announcement: Chyna was pregnant.

Fast-forward to Nov. 10, 2016 when Rob and Chyna welcomed their first baby together, a daughter named Dream Kardashian. Since the birth of their baby girl, Rob and Chyna have been living in pure parental bliss, but 2016 was a rocky road despite the exciting milestones, so let's look back at their roller coaster year.

For starters, the romance seemed to come out of nowhere, as Rob was reclusive for a few years. But an insider told us last January that Rob and Chyna had always known each other through his sisters. "Blac Chyna was friendly with Rob when she was good friends with the Kardashians," an insider shared. "Rob always thought she was pretty hot."

Chyna used to be engaged to Kylie Jenner's current boyfriend Tyga, and while he remained positive about the relationship, Kylie and the rest of the family felt differently. "Kylie doesn't want to give her the attention she so obviously wants," an insider revealed to E! News. "Ky is ignoring her antics."

As for Rob's other siblings, they were "livid about their relationship and not supportive of it at all," the source added. When news of Chyna's pregnancy broke, Rob's sisters weren't happy again, but Khloe Kardashian was the most vocal.

"Congratulations," she told Rob during a conversation that was filmed for Keeping Up With the Kardashians. "I don't know my emotions right now, I know I feel, I feel more empty and more unresolved than anything else and I'm like internally sad."

She told cameras, "I do think a baby is a blessing, I think that if this is gonna get Rob to get his s--t together cool. But I personally don't know what the next step for Rob and his girlfriend and all of us are. That's up to Rob."

Perhaps the pressure of the pregnancy began to take its toll because come summertime Rob would wipe his Instagram account clean—erasing all signs of Chyna and their relationship. Rumors swirled that they called off their engagement, but a source told E! News that they weren't broken up, just fighting.

"Rob and her have been getting into little tiffs and Blac Chyna flipped on Rob," the source told E! News. "He was so pissed at how she spoke to him, so he deleted everything about her to hurt her."

The source added that "Rob has never cheated on her, but she is very paranoid about that from past experiences," and reassured us that they were "fine" now. "[They're] back in love and have spoken through their fight."

The Rob & Chyna stars kissed and made up, but the source told us that their relationship is often a "roller coaster of emotions."

After their reality show, Rob & Chyna, aired on E!, fans saw the tumultuous relationship play out. In one of the early episodes, Rob and Chyna got into an explosive fight about his searching through her phone. "Yo, who's this hitting your phone over and over?" Rob asked his pregnant fiancée while attempting to go through her phone.

"I don't know, what does the name say?" Chyna yelled. "And why are you even in my phone?"

"And your password's not the same as it was," Rob added. "Because maybe last time you went through my phone," she replies. "And why you keep picking up my phone like you don't trust me? That's really whack."

After so many fights, Chyna gave Rob the heave ho and kicked him out of her house. "Chyna and I got in a fight so she kicked me out," Rob told Scott Disick in another episode of his reality show. "I'm just gonna let her be and give her her space and I don't know."

He then confessed, "This cycle of me being kicked out the house has happened several times and usually I go right back but I'm sick of it, so Imma stay at my house in Calabasas for a bit."

Rob ultimately apologized, but told her he wasn't moving back into her house because he felt they should get their "s--t together and move in a good direction."

A source also told E! News that living apart works better for them. "Rob and Chyna are fine. They are together, but it's just difficult right now," the insider said. "They are living separately because that makes for a more harmonious life for the two of them. They just bicker a lot. They argue but ultimately they love one another."

The Arthur George designer didn't move back in until after their daughter was born, but it appeared he was working on himself the entire time, as he reconnected with old friends and entered a "good place" with his fiancée. "I can't even believe that Rob took the initiative and had this romantic date for me," Chyna said in an episode of Rob & Chyna. "It shows me that he really is listening and I feel like that's a big step forward."

After drama escalated to an unprecedented level between Rob and Chyna, Rob agreed to go to couple's therapy to save the relationship. "I think seeing somebody to talk to or whatever, I mean it's not gonna hurt to just try it out," Rob told Chyna in their reality show. "I personally don't really agree with the whole thing but I'm more than willing to try it out and do that if it's gonna benefit you and I."

Ultimately, their baby girl proved to be the saving grace of their relationship. Ever since the couple welcomed Dream, their relationship has been—well—a dream.

Rob shared several pics of his girl on Instagram, writing, "It was all a DREAM," he said with several heart emojis. "Haha I love her."

Like any couple, Rob and Chyna experienced their fair share of ups and downs, but now that they're a family of three it's clear they're happier than ever.
