It's time to reveal the goddess in Taylor Swift.

Long before she was collaborating with Zayn Malik or hosting A-list Fourth of July parties with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, the "Shake It Off" singer was an up and coming artist who just graduated from high school.

While kicking off Taylor Swift Week at E! News, we're throwing it back several years to when the Grammy winner was known for hit singles including "Tim McGraw" and "Picture to Burn."

In fact, some fans may have known her from Venus Embrace's first Goddess of Summer campaign.

"It feels really awesome to be a recent high school graduate. I think I had the best senior year ever," she shared with E! News back in 2008. "I never expected my senior year to be as fun as it was or as interesting as it was. I didn't go to any football games but I played a lot of concerts."

She added, "It was a really, really great senior year and just to top it off with graduation and having my diploma is so cool."

At the same time, Taylor was also celebrating her first No. 1 album on the country charts. And yes, she was more than excited to release even more original songs that would become instant hits.

"We had five singles off this first album, which is a lot and so we're going to actually roll on to the next album which is coming out in the fall and I'm so excited about it," she explained. "I've written everything and I'm co-producing it too so I'm very excited for people to hear it."

That album would end up being the widely successful work called Fearless. You know, the disc that included huge hits like "Love Story," "You Belong With Me" and "Fifteen?"

With more than 94 million Instagram followers and the power to have a single jump to No. 1 on iTunes in a matter of one hour, Taylor has come a long way from having a few "Teardrops on My Guitar."

But nobody said it was bad to look back at where you started from.

"Venus Embrace razors named me Goddess of Summer and I'm really excited about it. It's very flattering and I appreciate it," she explained to E! News. "They're my favorite razors anyway so it's really cool that they contacted me. I absolutely love the razor. It's incredible."
