After weeks, months, years or decades, some co-stars can get along as if no time has gone by at all. While some reunions tend to be awkward (spoiler alert: your ten year high school reunion), these stars managed to make everyone feel like time simply stood still when they reunited in 2016.
From a Gilmore Girls redux after nearly a decade to some yoga between sworn enemies, this year was packed with standout celebrity reunions from all walks of Hollywood. Whether it was a gathering of television, film or music stars, devoted fans welcomed them and their doses of undeniable nostalgia.
Not to fret—the stars felt just as sappy about their reunions, whether they were for just the hour or an entire project.
"It was so emotional for so many reasons, but one of them was, you hardly ever get a chance, at any point in life, to appreciate the moment you're in while you're in it," Lauren Graham told Stephen Colbert of the Gilmore Girls sequel. "It was actually very overwhelming. I'm not a person who cries very easily, I cried almost every day."
While the reunions varied between new spin-offs, anniversary celebrations or simply serendipitous, others marked a brand new era—we're looking at you, Teresa Giudice and Danielle Staub.
Though their friendship crashed and burned when Giudice flipped a table on her foe during the Season 1 finale of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, the reality stars seemed to let bygones be bygones in 2016 when they went on a yoga date together—and posed for a photo for the entire world to see.
Not to mention, the reunion silently hinted at Staub's potential return to the reality world of the garden state. Let's just say we were the opposite of namaste.
