Watch: Phaedra Parks Talks Office Bomb Threat on "Housewives"

It was the bomb threat heard around the Bravo universe when Phaedra Parks received a call on last night's episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, notifying her that a man had shown up to her office with a grenade in hand and plans to blow the place to kingdom come.

Thankfully, no one was harmed, but for Phaedra, who was in Philadelphia at the time attending the Democratic National Convention, it was a moment she won't soon forget. Speaking with E! News' Erin Lim, the mother of young boys Ayden, 6, and Dylan, 3, admitted that, being so far from home at the time of the threat, she was overcome with a sense of powerlessness. "At that moment, I felt helpless, terrified, because that's serious," she said. "But at the same time, because I'm so far away from home, I'm thinking: First, my sons, my mom, my dad, the employees, people in the office...I was just terrified."

While RHOA's reigning queen of shade was hesitant to divulge too many details about the man who set out to put her and her employees in harm's way (the fallout will play out on the show in the weeks to come), what she was willing to share only made the scary situation seem even stranger. Hint: The would-be bomber turned out to be someone she knew.

"You should tune in to watch the full story, but it was a former client who was actually a friend of mine. I had just spoken with him that Monday, and this happened, I believe, on a Thursday," she said, shockingly. "We've been friends and he was one of my first clients when I became an attorney. It didn't really make sense, so I really had to delve in and talk to the bomb squad, talk to the people who investigated, to figure out really what happened."

We've got a feeling that's a friendship that's drastically different today. Just a hunch.
