Sad but true: Amy Schumer won't be heading Down Under this week.

Live Nation announced Monday that the comic will no longer be performing in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth this month. Her tour was set to start Saturday at Perth Arena.

The promoter cited illness as the reason for Schumer's cancellation. "Unfortunately, due to Amy Schumer's tight schedule it is not possible to schedule replacement dates," Live Nation added. "However, we will be working to confirm a return to Australia as soon as is practical."

Tickets will be refunded in full within 10 working days.

Schumer and Live Nation also apologized "for any disappointment" the cancellations caused.

Late Monday afternoon, Schumer took to Instagram to address her absence. Sharing a picture taken during her Trainwreck press tour in 2015, she wrote, "Australia! I am so sorry I am not well enough to make it there right now. I am going to get healthy and come as soon as I can. I love it there so much. The people are the coolest and the meat pies are the hottest. See you ASAP!"

Over the weekend, Schumer performed at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, Calif. She will resume her tour on New Year's Eve at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. She has five more comedy shows scheduled for 2017 in Baltimore, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto.

In September, Schumer became the first woman to crack Forbes' list of the world's top-paid comics. In a 12-month period, the Emmy-winning Inside Amy Schumer star earned $17 million, thanks in part to her memoir, The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo, and her hit film, Trainwreck.
