It's that time of year when you're sitting around the Thanksgiving table and someone inevitably says, "Let's each say one thing we're grateful for this year."
I'll admit it, I'm the person who asks everyone to do that.

La La Land: It's not only my favorite movie the year, but it's one of my favorite movies of all time. If we don't get a sequel, perhaps Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling can reunite for another musical?
Roar: Lion's all-star cast includes Nicole Kidman, Dev Patel and Rooney Mara, but it's eight-year-old Sunny Pawar who steals the show.
Trolls: If one of these little glitter-farting singing dolls isn't a float in today's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, someone needs to be fired.
Reese Witherspoon: She may have an Oscar, but some of her best work is in the animated Sing! She plays a pig who sings Katy Perry and Taylor Swift songs. Pure joy to the world.
Ryan Reynolds: He's super hot and is super hilarious in Deadpool.
Charlize Theron: The Oscar winner really does need to wear some of her looks from The Huntsman: Winter's War on the red carpet.
Captain America: Civil War: Say hello to Tom Holland, your new Spider-Man.
#SadBatman: The critics may not have been too keen on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but Ben Affleck did give us one of the year's best viral videos.
Money Matters: It was a Julia Roberts and George Clooney reunion! Now, let's see if we'll see them pop up together in Ocean's 8.
Finding Dory: Who could ever forget how darn friggin' adorable this movie is!
Alexander Skarsgård's Body: His abs alone were reason enough to see The Legend of Tarzan.
Kate McKinnon & Leslie Jones: They killed it in Ghostbusters. Now, let's find them an original script that isn't just an all-female version of a previous box office hit.
Suicide Squad: I don't care what people say, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Period.
Food Porn: O-M-G! Sausage Party is an animated movie that really is for adults. It's deliciously raunchy.
Gina Rodriguez: She held her own opposite Mark Wahlberg and Kurt Russell in Deepwater Horizon. More Gina on the big screen, please!
Loving: Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga's quiet performances speak volumes.
Benedict Cumberbatch & Tilda Swinton: There was nothing strange about this combo in Doctor Strange.
Eddie Redmayne: The Oscar winner jumped into the world of Harry Potter with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them—talk about magical.
I'm With Her: In Miss Sloane, Jessica Chastain plays a ruthless Republican lobbyist who crosses party lines to help pass stricter gun control laws. Acting at its finest.
Michelle Williams: Her brief but powerful scenes in Manchester By the Sea stay with you long after the end credits roll. How she didn't get a Spirit Award nomination is beyond comprehension.
Moonlight: With a budget of less than $5 million, writer-director Barry Jenkins proves you don't need a lot of money to make a great—and Oscar-worthy!—movie.
Jackie: With so many Hollywood takes on the assassination of JFK over the years it's easy sometimes to forget the true horror of the events. Natalie Portman's performance as Jacqueline Kennedy reminds us just how dark it really was.
Princess of Tides: It's nice to see that Moana doesn't need a prince to save the day.
It's Not Over Yet: There are still more movies to see—Fences, Allied, Live By Night, Passengers and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, just to name a few.
