The Girls are back and more pop culture obsessed than ever.

Gilmore Girls was always known for its pop culture references, past and current, and if there's one thing we're sure Lorelai and Rory have been doing since we last saw them 10 years ago, it's definitely making sure they are up on all the latest trends in entertainment. And our proof is in the Netflix revival's first trailer, which featured cheeky references to Tori Spelling's infamous Benihana burn incident and Battfleck (Ben Affleck as Batman, duh), as well as  the first teaser featuring a very serious discussion about Amy Schumer

So when E! News chatted with Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel and Scott Patterson in the middle of Luke's Diner (!) in Stars Hollow (!) at the set of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life (!) last spring, we asked them to tell us what movies, TV shows, books and apps Lorelai, Rory and Luke would be into in 2016.

When it comes to the TV show our Gilmore ladies are into these days, Graham guessed they're "probably giant geeks for Downton Abbey! I feel like we have our favorite characters, we go back and forth on Thomas." As for Luke, Patterson said our favorite coffee pourer is probably binge-watching Vinyl, HBO's recently canceled musical drama set in the '70s. Can't you just hear him grumbling over its cancellation during a crazy lunch rush?

We also got into a very in-depth discussion about their characters' current coffee orders aka their life lines, in which we learned what a "dry cap" is, thanks to Bledel and Graham's thorough explanation of Rory's current caffeinated drink of choice.

And Lorelai? So not down with the almond and coconut milk trend.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life premieres Friday, Nov. 25 on Netflix.
