Meet The Voice Season 11 Top 12: Find Out Who Made It Through the Live Playoffs

America was able to vote through the top two singers on each team immediately

It's true: the instant vote on The Voice's live playoffs is certainly not the most important decision America will have to make this week.

But it was certainly the most stressful Voice vote yet, since the live save that the show has employed for several seasons now was expanded to the entire playoff show: meaning the results were left in the hands of the East coast (sorry, Pacific time zone) and there were very narrow windows to vote for each team.

Other than that (admittedly major) change, the show proceeded as the results shows typically do. America advanced the top two vote-getters, and each coach could choose one more singer to go through to the top 12. Yes, as always it meant that many talented singers were left by the wayside. Did your favorites make it through? Check out the results below, and leave your thoughts on the new format and the final teams in the comments below!

TEAM ALICIA

America saved:

Christian Cuevas

We McDonald

Alicia saved:

Sa'Rayah

"I am so full right now," newbie coach Alicia Keys said before praising her remaining team members. "Music is about being who you are in every moment," she said before making her final decision.

TEAM BLAKE

America saved:

Sundance Head

Austin Allsup

Blake saved:

Courtney Harrell

"This literally sucks," Blake Shelton lamented while contemplating who to move forward. Everything moved so fast tonight that it was hard to consider the different possible outcomes and prepare for whatever happened.

TEAM MILEY

America saved:

Aaron Gibson

Ali Caldwell

Miley saved:

Darby Walker

"I'm not one to do what people tell me to do," Miley Cyrus told the crowd as they cheered for the singer they thought should go through, encouraging them to save their energy for a different coach.

TEAM ADAM

America saved:

Billy Gilman

Josh Gallagher

Adam saved:

Brendan Fletcher

"This is unfair because all of you deserve to make it," Adam Levine said in the 30 seconds he had to make his final decision (the credits were already rolling). His pick was slightly surprising, given how much he seemed to like teenage crooner Riley Elmore (whose performance was totally respectable), but that's what happens on live shows!

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
