Mariah Carey won't let a breakup stop her from enjoying a weekend in Los Angeles.

The "Obsessed" singer put aside any relationship drama with James Packer for a nice meal out at Catch Saturday evening.

E! News has learned that Mariah visited the Hollywood hotspot where she had sushi and mingled with friends including dancer Brian Tanaka for a few hours.

"She was with friends and dancing and singing and having a blast," a source shared with E! News.

During her dinner, Mariah also took to Instagram in her first post since the breakup was announced. In her photo caption, the Grammy winner gave a shoutout to her "real friends" and the Australian publication that first reported her breakup.

"#realfriends who don't read Woman's Day #wedontknowyou," she wrote on social media. "We love you #Australianlambs @stellabulochnikov."

The night out comes after a source revealed to E! News that Mariah was "blindsided" when James called off their engagement. In fact, Mariah only learned of the split when she saw it in the press.

"The split has been devastating for Mariah," a source shared with E! News. "She loved James and was planning to marry him...She made life changes for this man to prepare for their future as husband and wife, even relocating to L.A., at James' request, so he could be closer to his children."

The insider added, "Everything she has done over the past year is to prove how fully committed she is to their life together. She really wanted this to work. And then, completely out of the blue, it imploded."

As for all the media speculation surrounding Mariah and her backup dancer Brian, our source assures fans that the longtime friends have a "completely platonic" relationship.

"He's been a supportive influence in her life. They've known each other for 10 years," an insider shared with E! News. "He's been a great friend to her through this difficult time."
