Amy Adams is one encouraging mama.

The Arrival star has a lot on her plate these days, but she's hoping to make a difference in the world—big or small. E! News caught up with Adams on the red carpet of the Elle Women in Hollywood event Monday, and she spoke to us about the exciting Disenchanted news and about her six-year-old daughter Aviana Olea Le Gallo. Now that the news is out about the Enchanted sequel, Adams was able to gush to us about the highly anticipated Disney movie. "I'm really excited that Disenchanted is sort of in the works," she said. Adams also loves that she and other women are working hard to make changes within the industry, even if it's just one step at a time. "I think it's your ability to effect change," she said when asked what's her favorite part of being a women in Hollywood. "I believe in doing it in subtle quiet ways, but I still believe in effecting change."

The Enchanted actress also told us that if her daughter decided to follow in her footsteps and become a woman in Hollywood, she'd back her up 100 percent.

"I would support her. I would encourage her to kind of find a great community to get involved with," Adams told us. "Maybe I'd steer her towards theater and start there so she's got a good foundation of work ethic because it takes a lot of work."
