Following inaccurate reports of trouble in paradise, Chris Hemsworth took to social media to send a crystal clear message to the media about his six-year marriage to Elsa Pataky. "Looking for a new wife according to @womansdayaus and other misleading outlets! Honey you still love me right?! @elsapatakyconfidential #thanksfortheheadsup," the Australian native penned on Instagram.
The Thor star is just one of a handful of celebrities who have fought off baseless rumors about their notably long marriages in recent years, like Will Smith and leading lady Jada Pinkett Smith. The couple have been married for almost two decades and share three children together.
However, in August 2015, the Oscar nominee had to specifically address the public speculation.
"Under normal circumstances, I don't usually respond to foolishness. (Because it's contagious) But, so many people have extended me their 'deepest condolences' that I figured - 'What the hell... I can be foolish, too!' he wrote on Facebook.

Different couple, same story for Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. After nearly 20 years of life as husband and wife, some outlets insist they're headed for divorce. However, after years of ignoring the rumors, the couple could no longer ignore what was being said about them.
"No true news organization could report that our marriage is on the brink of breaking up but American Media, Inc., owner of the Star and National Enquirer, often run fabricated stories to sell their tabloids. In the past, we laughed off their cover stories of our soon-to-be acrimonious divorce, because those stories were so far from true, they were laughable," they said in a joint statement to E! News.
"But our marriage is the foundation of our family, is sacred to us, and we couldn't allow such nonsense as we are about to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary next April. For the Star and National Enquirer to profit by dishonoring what is so precious to us with such falsehoods were, we decided, lies we would not put up with any longer."
Ellen DeGeneres' eight-year marriage to Portia de Rossi is constantly under attack in the headlines, but the daytime talk show host's recent comments to People confirm they are firmly at each other's side.
"There's no best part [about being married.] It's everything," she told the magazine. "I can't imagine not being married. I have my best friend, the person I want to spend time with more than anybody else in the world."
"I've gotten to a place where I really am just settled. Really. I know that I'm not going anywhere. She's not going anywhere. I'm not saying the relationship took a while; I'm saying in my life, it took a while to find this," she added.
