Sit down and strap in, Twitches fans, because you're in for a shock.

That's right. Tia Mowry and Tamara Mowry never celebrated Halloween as kids.

We know, it's crazy to think about, but in an exclusive interview with E! News, Tia revealed that despite having starred in a movie all about the magic of the holiday, she and her sister didn't trick-or-treat as kids.

"I didn't grow up celebrating Halloween," she confessed at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation's 27th annual A Time For Heroes family festival. "My mom, you know, it just wasn't something she wanted us to do."

But now that she is a mom, Tia is making sure her son has a different experience.

"Once I had my son Cree, it was like a kid in the candy store," the Tia at Home star joked.

"I go all out, I have Halloween parties, where I make these really cool cupcakes with spiders on top and cotton candy as a web, and we go all out with our costumes."

As for what her plans are for this year, Tia says that her family already has their costumes ready to go.

"It's a family theme," she gushed. "I'm going to be a vintage pirate, my husband is going to be a vintage pirate, and my son is going to be a shark, he loves sharks."

But don't worry. Despite the fact that Tia grew up without Halloween candy, she's not about to let 5-year-old Cree overdo it.

"I let him keep a few pieces, definitely. Unfortunately kids get cavities," she said. "But I do let him indulge, you know. I let him enjoy."

Sounds like it'll be a fun year for the family of three and we can't wait to see their costumes!
