Liam Payne is bringing his musical talents back to the United States!

The One Direction crooner had already signed a deal with the United Kingdom's Capitol Records over the summer, and now he's just scored another big one with Republic Records in the U.S.  "Amazing to have signed to @RepublicRecords I am celebrating as I tweet thank you so much for accepting me to your roster of amazing artists," Payne wrote.

With artists like Drake, The Weeknd, Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande, the label's co-founder and CEO Monte Lipman feels confident Payne will be a great addition.

"Being a member of the most successful group of the last decade, Liam has a tremendous opportunity to make an even greater impact on pop culture," Lipman said. "We're honored by Liam's decision to join Republic Records, and have extremely high expectations for his solo career."

Payne's manager, Simon Oliveira, reiterated that sentiment, saying, "I am more than confident we have assembled the best possible team alongside Capitol's UK label to launch and shepherd Liam's solo career."

Of course, Payne's decision to sign solo deals is received with varying reactions from 1D fans.

While some are excited the musician will be putting out more music in the future, others still can't swallow the truth that their favorite boyband is probably never getting back together

In fact, when Payne first announced his deal with Capitol Records in July, he received some upset fan mail on Twitter.

For example, one fan questioned, "What about one direction .. I believed you guys when you said you were coming back but lately idk what to think." Another fan wrote, "WHAT THE HELL WHAT WHAT ABOUT THE BAND LIAM."

At the time, Payne did his best to calm their emotions by tweeting, "One direction will always be my home and family but I'm very excited to see what this chapter brings."

Zayn Malik and Niall Horan have also made big steps in their own solo careers. Malik put out his successful first solo record earlier this year, while Horan released his first single last month. Harry Styles signed a solo deal in June, though he hasn't released any new music just yet. Louis Tomlinson has been busy being a dad and guest judging on America's Got Talent.
