Now, this is some royally good hair inspiration.

From Canada to India, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton has sported some serious fashion during her days spent globetrotting this year. However, no look would be complete without a hairstyle equally worthy of the crown.

While the 34-year-old mother of two often sports hairstylist Richard Ward's signature glossy "Chelsea" blowout during public appearances, she has certainly expanded her range this year, opting for chignons, half-up 'dos and twisted ponytails.

When she isn't sporting one of her many statement hats, Middleton can be seen switching things up with a headband or pinned hair. Whichever the style, the Duchess of Cambridge always manages to make it look effortlessly chic.

Let's start with the buns. As an alternative to leaving her hair hanging loose, Middleton has sported an array of romantic chignons to many of her evening events, including her most recent trip to Canada where she paired a crimson asymmetrical dress designed by Preen with an elegant updo. The bun was wrapped to the side, giving the look a modern edge.

This week, the royal was spotted visiting the Netherlands on her first solo trip as a duchess, but the outing would not have been complete without one of Middleton's low, wrapped looks.

While she's a duchess and we're mere mortals, Middleton did remind us she can be a regular gal when photographers spotted a bun held together by a nearly invisible hairnet. For just a few dollars, we all can rock one of those!

To take the look one step further, Kate leaves the hair unwrapped for a no-fuss ponytail.

For a touch of glamour, Middleton's ponies are typically wavy, low and with a side part to add volume at the top.

For an added edge, her recent ponytail in Manchester this week was wrapped and tucked, begging the question—did Middleton use one of those '90s Topsy Tails to secure her 'do?

Whatever the technique, the next time you're rushed for time and throw your hair into a ponytail, just remember that Duchess Kate does it, too.

As one busy woman, sometimes Middleton just needs to keep her hair out of her face, but not off her shoulders. In that case, the pin method is her best friend.

Middleton has often attended daytime events with pieces of hair pinned up to create a half-up, half-down effect.

It's the perfect style to sport when it's bound to be a windy day or you have a pair of earrings on that just need to be seen.

Last, but never least, there's the headband. Ever loyal, a good headband can take a lackluster hair day and bring it to life.

Same goes for the Duchess of Cambridge, who has been spotted wearing the hair accessory during particular outdoor moments, whether she was carrying her son Prince George on a windy visit to the Royal International Air Tattoo or enjoying a fishing trip on a boat in Canada.

Plus, as every hair aficionado knows, a good headband takes care of a dirty hair day in a snap.
