The schism between the Giudice and Laurita clans is still going strong on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. In the Sunday, Oct. 16 episode viewers will see Joe Giudice's going away party—he reported to serve his 41-month prison sentence in March—and one person will not be there, despite being invited: Chris Laurita.

"I was going to go," Chris told Richie and Kathy Wakile and Rosie Perri while out bowling, "but then Dolores told me don't go."

Joe invited Chris and Jacqueline Laurita, and Jacqueline gave him her blessing to go, but she would not be attending after the blowout she had in Vermont with Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga. Dolores Catania urged Chris to say home and stand by his wife.

"After everything that happened in Vermont, I knew that if I went to that event, the chances of me walking into that room and somebody saying stupid, especially about my wife, is going to be a problem," Chris said.

However, he did send Joe a message and said he wishes him the best. "I really do."

Chris and Joe have a history together and reconnected when Teresa returned from prison and started rebuilding her friendship with Jacqueline. After some bumps in the friendship road, everything crumbled again in Vermont at a disastrous group dinner.

Teresa's cousin Rosie also didn't attend the party, despite her bond with Joe. "This time I don't know what to do," she said. "It doesn't matter anymore."

The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Sundays, 8 p.m. on Bravo.
