Corey Feldman is moving forward with his music—whether you like it or not.
The iconic '80s star returned to Today to perform his all-too-fitting song, "Take a Stand," off of his album Angelic 2 the Core. Clad in a vibrant gold jacket and surrounded by musicians dressed as angels, the 45-year-old actor addressed the backlash surrounding his aspiring music career before kicking his performance off.
It was just a month earlier that Feldman first took the Today stage to perform "Go 4 It." The performance quickly went viral and garnered mixed responses from the public.
"We're doing something new that hasn't been done before," the Goonies actor told NBC's Tamron Hall. "But it's all about innovation and being an artist, and we can't be afraid to share our art. This song by the way is for America. We are at a time right now where the world needs to focus really on peace and love and tolerance."
Feldman delivered that exact message as he passionately performed the track, shedding his jacket and letting his hair down in the process while frequently holding up the peace sign.
A day before the performance, the star also penned an essay for Today, explaining how his critics have affected him.
"As an artist, I've been bullied, I've been picked on strictly because I spread a message of love. As an artist, I take chances by creating new dances, and I risk it all while trying not "2" fall," he explained.
"As an artist, if I fail and make mistakes, that's when my critics have a field day. However, the most painful part is when you get it all right, and remember all the parts, yet you open your computer, and read comments that would tear a hole through any commoners' hearts."
