There's Friends in heaven. Sorry, not heaven, The Good Place. And by Friends, of course it's the beloved NBC series starring Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and Courteney Cox.
In the below sneak peek, Michael (Ted Danson) is, well, sort of unraveling. And that's where Eleanor (Kristen Bell) comes in to help. He enlists her with an important task that could save them all.
While trying to determine what exactly is going on with the Good Place, Michael reveals how Friends helped shape the afterlife.
"So, to prepare to meet all of you, I studied the human concept of friends," Michael tells Eleanor. "I even watched all 10 seasons of the show Friends. Boy, those Friends really were friends, weren't they? Although, and I realize this is the kind of observation that would only occur to the mind of an eternal being: How did they afford that apartment? A waitress and a chef with those Manhattan real estate prices."
Are we all eternal beings?! Now we know The Good Place's stance on Friends and Beyoncé.
"Any place or thing in the universe can be up to 104 percent perfect. That's how you got Beyoncé," Danson's Michael said in an earlier episode.
Also in the episode, "What We Owe to Each Other," Chidi (William Jackson Harper) plays third wheel to help out a friend. Jameela Jamil, Manny Jacinto and D'Arcy Carden also star.
The Good Place airs Thursdays, 8:30 p.m. on NBC.
(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
