The waterworks were flowing freely on Dancing With the Stars for "Most Memorable Year" night. The emotions were especially high for Jana Kramer. The actress and country music star dedicated her dance to daughter Jolie, whom she had in 2016.

"I feel like I was able to have a breakthrough…in dancing because I was able to express my emotions through dance," Kramer told E! News' Sibley Scoles. "And I was able to breathe through the movements and to really just let it all be out there. I think it was really important."

She credited pro partner Gleb Savchenko and his choreography to Martina McBride's "In My Daughter's Eyes" for letting her really feel everything and "just really let go," she said. They received a 26 out of 30, including two nines from judges.

"It's really important to trust your partner," Jana said of their big dance. "There's times when we butt heads, but he's the best and I need to continue to trust him…he's been an amazing friend through everything."

During the show, Kramer opened up about having her daughter and the past abuse in her life.

"This week, it's most memorable year, and mine is 2016, because I had my baby girl. I feel like I'm the strongest I've been my entire life. She's given me the strength I didn't know I would have," Kramer said in the package before she took the stage. "And I've been in bad situations where I've let people take that from me. Ten years ago, I was in an abusive relationship. It was the worst time of my life. He went to jail for attempted murder on me. It's been a very heavy secret to hold for so many years. The situation ten years ago broke me. It took having Jolie to piece together every single broken part of me."
