Just as mother bears will viciously and vigorously protect their cubs in the wild, it's part of a mom's nature to protect her child to great extents in the human world, too...especially if that world takes place in Hollywood.

While celebrities typically downplay any drama, often letting critics and haters slide off their back, there's one thing a celeb mama just can't ignore: her kids.

For example, Olivia Wilde took to Instagram on Friday morning to slam a paparazzo she caught hiding in the bushes just to catch a photo her baby bump. And she's not alone.

This week aloneKim Zolciak to Halle Berry stood up and spoke out for the well-being of their children. They're joined by several other famous moms who have fought back in the past to defend their kids:

Olivia Wilde: The actress took to Instagram on Friday to slam the paparazzi for always trying to take photos of a pregnant woman.

"Death stare sent this weirdo photog with a giant nat geo lens (ya know, the kind you use to snap wild animals who would kill you if you got too close) scurrying backwards into the park bush he was literally, and I do mean literally, stalking me from. Wtffffffff," she wrote.

"When you see pics of people looking angry it's because they're reacting normally to an extremely abnormal situation," she added. "I'm posting this so people understand that this [angry] face is how it feels to be followed by strange men (sorry but it's almost never a woman) who climb trees to snap pics of pregnant ladies. Not cool."

Kim Zolciak: The reality star has defended her children several times against online trolls.

Kim recently slammed the haters commenting on her 19-year-old daughter, Brielle's appearance. "Oh hell no, you f--kers on Bravo TV under Brielle's pictures writing comments," she kicked off the enraged video series. "You're f--king with the wrong one."

She continued, "Do you not see that you are the reason why this world is so f--ked up?" she asked. "You're grown-ass adults...If my daughter wasn't strong can you imagine what the f--k you would do to her with your comments?"

Previously, she defended her 14-year-old daughter, Ariana, against body-shamers. "My sweet, smart, motivated princess has the biggest [heart] and is even more beautiful on the inside and you LOW LIFE a--holes who have the audacity to make your rude comments, 'she finally lost weight' 'she finally came into her own' WTF is wrong with you!"

Halle Berry: The actress has chosen to keep her chidlren's identities protected, but still uses unique ways to post them on social media without divulging too much. Earlier this week, she took to Instagram to clap back at a few commenters who criticized her for being "ashamed" of her kids.

"I'm not at all ashamed of children. I try to find creative ways to incorporate them into my feed because they are the biggest part of my life, but I also work very hard to keep their identities as private as I can considering they are only children," Berry wrote.

"It's my belief...that it's my job as their mother to protect their privacy as best I can. When they grow and they're of age and they want share their images on the internet, that will be for them to decide, not me. Feel me? Have a beautiful day."

Kristin Cavallari: Over the summer, the former Hills star shared photos of her sons playing on the beach. Several people began commenting that it looked like she wasn't feeding her kids right due to their slim figures.

"Seeing pictures of your boys and how they look is a bit shocking to see! I know you cook healthy but to see the bones just doesn't seem normal, sorry!" read one comment.

K.Cav immediately clapped back. "Yep, I starve my children. Just blocked the most people I've ever blocked in my entire life. Happy 4th hahaha," she said after going on a blocking spree.

Coco: The new mama was criticized for sharing too many photos of her baby daughter Chanel, but she didn't let the haters stop her from doing her thing.

"I'm proud that I'm finally a mama," she replied to one follower who accused her of "exploiting" her newborn. "Does she not look happy?"

Sarah Palin: The political mama didn't hold back in shutting down the haters who criticized her daughter Bristol Palin during the all-star season on Dancing With the Stars.

"I'm sorry to see that she's again getting those annoying death threats and more 'mysterious white powder' sent to her while on DWTS," Palin wrote on her blog. "Do the haters really think this will stop Bristol and Mark and the show's producers from keepin' on keepin' on? Silly critics—after all these years of goofy antics like this we find these efforts are actually quite motivating! Bristol's not letting this get her down."

She concluded, "Hey, the haters will hate anyway; the critics will criticize, so you might as well dance!"

Jada Pinkett-Smith: The mama bear has defended her children, their unique sense of style and their decisions time and time again.

For example, when people began criticizing Jada for "letting" Willow Smith cut her hair, she responded, "First the LET must be challenged. This is a world where women, girls are constantly reminded that they don't belong to themselves; that their bodies are not their own, nor their power or self determination."

She continued, "I made a promise to endow my little girl with the power to always know that her body, spirit and her mind are HER domain. Willow cut her hair because her beauty, her value, her worth is not measured by the length of her hair. It's also a statement that claims that even little girls have the RIGHT to own themselves and should not be a slave to even their mother's deepest insecurities, hopes and desires."

Tia Mowry: Though it seems unthinkable that anyone would do something like this, Mowry found herself having to defend her son, Cree Taylor Hardrict, when he was just 1-years-old after people began calling him "ugly" on social media.

"I really don't understand why people feel the need to belittle a child, someone who doesn't even have a voice yet to express themselves," Mowry said at the time. "I just think it's disgusting—disgusting that we live in a society that focuses on looks."

Jennifer Garner: The actress turned the tables on the paparazzi in 2013 when she took out her phone and got in the face of a man trying to take photos of her kids while they shopped at a farmer's market.

"They're beautiful and sweet and innocent, and I don't want a gang of shouting, arguing, lawbreaking photographers who camp out everywhere we are all day, every day, to continue traumatizing my kids," she's previously stated about the harmful effects of the paparazzi.

Jenny McCarthy: After an article falsely quoted her as saying her 11-year-old son Evan had been misdiagnosed with autism in 2005, she immediately stepped up and spoke out.

"Stories circulating online, claiming that I said my son Evan may not have autism after all, are blatantly inaccurate and completely ridiculous," McCarthy tweeted following the reports in 2014. "Evan was diagnosed with autism by the Autism Evaluation Clinic at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Hospital and was confirmed by the State of California (through their Regional Center)."

She concluded, "The implication that I have changed my position, that my child was not initially diagnosed with autism (and instead may suffer from Landau-Kleffner Syndrome), is both irresponsible and inaccurate."
