Benedict Cumberbatch isn't letting his superpowers go to waste.
The actor, who stars as the title character in the upcoming Doctor Strange, is helping Marvel launch it's new Hero Acts campaign to benefit Save the Children.
In short, Marvel Studios will donate $5 to Save the Children up to $1 million for every fan who uploads a photo of themselves in their favorite Marvel superhero pose to MarvelStudiosHeroActs.com.
"We filmed Doctor Strange in Nepal and several other countries and everywhere we went in the world, I met Marvel fans," Cumberbatch says a video released earlier today. "But I also saw kids who are facing enormous challenges, challenges that no one should ever have to face. With the help of our fans, Hero Acts can change that."
Doctor Strange, which co-stars Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton and Mads Mikkelsen, will be in theaters on Nov. 4.
In other movie do-gooder news, Loving has teamed up with Twitter to create emojis that celebrate interracial couples. An emoji honoring Mildred and Richard Loving will populate hashtags #VoteLoving, #ThisisLoving and #LovingMovie.
The upcoming drama tells the real-life story of the Lovings, an interracial couple (played by Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga) whose fight for the right to marry became the landmark 1960s Supreme Court case known as Loving v. Virginia.
Richard, a white man, and his black wife Mildred, were arrested in 1959 and were eventually sentenced to a year in prison for their interracial marriage. At the time, it was illegal for an interracial couple to marry out of state and return to live in Virginia. The Supreme Court ruled in the Lovings' favor in 1967 with the decision also ending all race-based marriage restrictions in the U.S.
In addition to the Twitter emojis, Focus Features has also released Love-Moji App, a keyboard extension that features a variety of interracial and same-sex couple emojis.
Loving will also be in theaters on Nov. 4.
