Blake Shelton took to Twitter this afternoon, and no, it wasn't just to fight with his fellow Voice coaches or answer fans' burning questions stemming from tabloid stories—it was to wish his ladylove Gwen Stefani a happy birthday, and to congratulate the star on her latest achievement!
"Happy Birthday @gwenstefani and congrats on the debut of @KuuKuuHarajuku!!!!," he wrote. She hasn't responded to her beau on the social media website, but tweeted earlier today, "#happy birthday," (emphasis on the "happy," of course).
And what's not to be happy about? Along with her birthday, the star celebrated the premiere of her new Nickelodeon series Kuu Kuu Harajuku, an animated show about a girl group.
While festivities for both events have yet to be revealed, Stefani did tease some cake, pie and creative cupcakes that were brought out for this occasion on her Snapchat today. The singer also wore a tiara, because duh, who wouldn't want to be a birthday princess?
As for what Shelton has planned for his lady, it's possible that the two opted to celebrate her birthday a little early. The duo were spotted enjoying Dolly Parton's concert at the Hollywood Bowl last night with a sold-out crowd. Photos surfaced of the pair together from fans who were also at the show, singing along to some country tunes.
For those who were anticipating an engagement on her birthday, you might have to wait a little longer.
Wedding rumors have been swirling between these two for a while, but when Ellen DeGeneres asked her about a possible marriage on the horizon, Stefani just laughed it off.
"I just need to know so I can clear that schedule," the daytime talk show host joked. Gwen giggled, telling Ellen, "Oh, you're crazy."
"Just let me know," the comedienne said. "OK," Gwen promised. "I'll let you know."
