Finally, some relief from the Droughtlander!

Even though season three of Outlander won't hit TV screens until 2017, we've got a bit of good news for fans of the Starz hit: Two more key characters from the upcoming third season, based on Voyager, the third book in Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, have been cast.

César Domboy has been added to the cast as the show's older version of Fergus, the beloved French pickpocket who Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) took under their wing in season two, while Lauren Lyle has landed the role of Marsali, one of Laoghaire's (Nell Hudson) young daughters.

25 Fascinating Facts About Outlander

This all-grown-up version of Fergus will reveal himself to be a charming, devilishly handsome man with a strong sense of loyalty and decorum, despite his unconventional upbringing. The ultimate romantic, he wears his heart on his sleeve and falls in and out of love easily.  His devotion to Jamie has never wavered, making the Frenchman an integral part of the Fraser clan.  However, underneath the debonair demeanor lies a longing for a lasting love and a permanent sense of belonging.

Marsali is the 18-year-old high-spirited daughter of Laoghaire, who famously tried to have Claire executed for witchcraft in season one to steal Jamie from her. She has a rebellious and romantic mind of her own.  Prepare yourself for a girl knows what she wants and she goes after it—reputation and propriety be damned.

Domboy and Lyle are the latest additions to season three, as John Bell and Wil Johnson were recently cast as Young Ian Murray and Joe Abernathy, respectively. Australian actor David Berry was also added to the cast in the pivotal role of Lord John Grey.

Season three will pick up right after Claire traveled through the stones to return to her life in 1948, where she will struggle with the fallout of her reappearance its effects on her marriage to her first husband, Frank. Oh, and of course, she's also pregnant, with Jamie suffering the aftermath of the battle of Culloden in the 18th century. Will they be able to make a life apart from one another or will they find a way to reunite?

Outlander returns for season three in 2017, with a fourth season already ordered by Starz.
