Keys sat down for an exclusive interview with E! News to talk about the original music she contributed to the film Queen of Katwe, and we asked The Voice's newest Grammy-winning coach about her eldest son's upcoming birthday—and how she's doing watching her little guy grow up.

"I don't know how exactly aware they are, and I like that," Keys said. "I love them to just be able to be innocent" and able to "to create their world and what the world looks like for them."

Keys also opened up about her and husband Swizz Beatz setting a good example for Egypt and his baby brother, Genesis, 1 1/2. The musician revealed, "As a young person you do what you see, and you kind of pick up what's around you."

Now that she is a mother, the songwriter explained how she identifies with the story of Queen of Katwe, which is based on the experiences of a real-life child chess prodigy from Uganda. Keys explained, "If you are a mother or a parent you can understand that feeling of, 'Are my kids gonna make it?'"

Well, with her and Beatz as Egypt and Genesis' role models, we have nothing but high hopes for their future.

Keys also talked about how working on Queen of Katwe, got her reminiscing about her own childhood.
