Kids really do say the darndest things.

As Emily Blunt knows, having two young kids can lead to surprises each and every day. But sometimes, the things that come out of these youngsters' mouths can result in the best stories.

Before the release of her highly anticipated film The Girl on the Train, Emily sat down to talk about work and family life. Along the way, she couldn't help but recall a moment with her two-year-old daughter Hazel.

"She's sounding a bit American from what I see," she confessed to The Hollywood Reporter. "'Can I have some wah-ta?' I was like, ‘Wodder?' And she went, ‘No, it's wah-ta.'"

Emily continued, "I was like, ‘Oh, for God's sake!'" Anyone else getting New Yorker vibes?

The latest anecdote is a rare glimpse into the actress' family life she enjoys so much with John Krasinski. And while the Hollywood couple tries to keep their private life private, we can't help but savor the times when their love can't be ignored.

"Meeting John really changed my life," Emily told InStyle in 2013. "When I feel the support that I have from him, I feel invincible. There's someone behind you on your good days, and someone in front of you on your bad days."

As for John, he's not afraid to gush about his wife who's so much more than a talented actress.

"My wife is my hero in every single way. Truly every single day I'm blown away by her," John recently shared on Sunday Today with Willie Geist. "So I'm always looking to her for inspiration."

He added, "I am living a lottery ticket life. I don't even know if I deserved to be here. I just love that people are giving me the opportunity."

The Girl on the Train hits theaters everywhere on Oct. 7
