As the rest of the world picks up the pieces following Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's dramatic fallout, one celeb couple is busy minding their own business.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux stepped out in New York City Saturday evening for an intimate date night, where they enjoyed dinner at Big Apple hot spot, The Smile. Despite the onslaught of attention she's received in connection to Brangelina's shocking split, Pitt's ex-wife appeared perfectly unbothered as she rested her hand on Theroux's shoulder with a pleasant smile on her face.

The lovebirds, who wed in 2015, coordinated their all-black ensembles, with the Girl On the Train actor sporting a zip-up hoodie and jeans while Aniston looked chic in a camisole and a pair of Mary Jane's. On Thursday, Jen surfaced for the first time since news of the divorce broke for an incognito solo outing

Jennifer and Justin's latest date night comes fresh off the emergence of new details surrounding the private plane incident that resulted in Pitt being questioned by the Department of Children and Family Services in Los Angeles.

A source recently told E! News the incident, which allegedly took place on Sept. 14, "was a parent/child argument." A different insider previously told E! News that the verbal altercation was the kind of disagreement "that sometimes occur(s) between teenage boys and their father."

With conflicting reports swirling about the exact nature of the incident, both sources confirmed to E! News that no abuse took place. "There was no punching, and there was no inappropriate contact," says one insider. "This was a very normal family argument."

According to court documents obtained by E! News, Angelina separated from Brad one day after the incident (Sept. 15) and filed for divorce on Sept. 19. Despite previous reports, law enforcement sources tell NBC News that the investigation is being looked into by only DCFS and not the FBI or LAPD, as some outlets have claimed.

As for Aniston's involvement in the ongoing saga, those familiar with the infamous love triangle will remember the Friends alum was married to Pitt when he first met Jolie on the set of that fateful blockbuster hit, Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

The high-profile couple announced their impending divorce in January 2005, just a few months before the film debuted.
