How Adam Levine Went From Partying Playboy to Dusty Rose's Doting Dad

Behati Prinsloo's husband didn't always seem like the marrying kind!

We have no doubt that Adam Levine will be wrapped around baby Dusty Rose Levine's little finger in no time.

A source tells E! News that the Voice coach was in the delivery room with wife Behati Prinsloo and "they both cried when [their baby] was born." The couple, who married in 2014, are said to be completely in love with their "happy, healthy...beautiful" baby girl.

Adam's been looking forward to being a doting dad ever since the early months of Behati's pregnancy. Fatherhood certainly seems like a natural fit for him, too, but we wouldn't have always seen it like this. There was a time, if you'll remember, when the Maroon 5 rocker wasn't exactly the ready-to-settle-down type.

He made a joke back in 2008 that didn't go over so well, telling Women's Health magazine he "only practice(s) yoga because the classes are always packed with beautiful women." He clarified immediately, "I am totally kidding" and is actually quite dedicated in his yoging, but it definitely made him come off as a pretty shameless ladies' man.

Adam's rumored romances through the years with a string of supermodels cemented his playboy reputation. He was in a serious relationship with model Anne V from 2010 to 2012, but he was back to talking about what happens between the sheets shortly after their split.  As he told Details magazine, "Maybe the reason I was promiscuous, and wanted to sleep with a lot of them, is that I love them so much."

Adam's sentiment there is kind of sweet, but it doesn't make him seem like husband material. In any case, he went on to date Behati, but they called it quits after 11 months together.

During Adam and Behati's brief breakup, the singer dated model Nina Agdal. Their romance was short-lived (but there were no hard feelings), and by July 2013, Adam was back with Behati—and engaged!

Former Tonight Show host Jay Leno couldn't help but tease Adam for previously swearing off marriage. The then-engaged singer laughed and said, "Famous last words: ‘I'll never get married.' You know, I still don't think you have to get married, unless you meet someone that makes you want to marry them. And then you marry them and it's wonderful."

Adam and Behati went on to say "I do" in July 2014, and they didn't waste too much time starting their family.  "Yeah, we're gonna do it at some point in the not-so-distant-slash-undisclosed-I-really-have-no-idea-big-question-mark-future," Adam told E! News' Catt Sadler shortly after his wedding.

Fast forward to March 2016 when Adam and Behati go public with the news that they're expecting! "It's awesome," Adam told E! News' Sibley Scoles shortly after. "I'm going to be a dad. S--t, I'm excited. I'm going to be a f--king dad. I'm going to spoil [Behati]."

We have no doubt! Something tells us Adam is still very much a ladies' man—it's just these days, those ladies are his gorgeous wife and beautiful daughter.
