Law & Order: SVU is back and so is Tuckson. Get used to it! In the exclusive sneak peek from SVU's season 18 premiere, Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Tucker (Robert John Burke) share a rare quiet moment.
Yes, they're back from Paris and they're still together. Now Tucker's got a new gig with the Conviction Integrity Unit. Goodbye IAB!
"Could be interesting. Working with the DA's office, kicking the tire's on tricky cases. Kind of like an in-house Innocence Project," Tucker explains.
But it's SVU, that quiet moment is all too brief and interrupted.

The search for the boy's family sends detectives on a surprising path and they find evidence of a mass causality event is planned for New York City. Again, it's SVU. Things aren't exactly as they seem. While this is going on, Benson has to deal with the rising tensions with Chief Dodds (Peter Gallagher) after the events of the season 17 finale that left his son, Sgt. Dodds (Andy Karl) dead.
Raúl Esparza, Kelli Giddish, Ice T and Peter Scanavino all return as series regulars. Elizabeth Marvel also guest stars in the premiere.
Law & Order: SVU season 18 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
