This Creepy Tom Brady Mask Is the Stuff of Nightmares

Masked fan scared the pants off footballs fans at a recent game

Tonight's highly-anticipated American Horror Story premiere might have just been topped by #FakeBrady.

The arguably disturbed folks over at Bleacher Report thought it'd be a great idea to let a man sporting a horrifyingly realistic Tom Brady mask scare the pants off football fans at the New England Patriots-Arizona Cardinals game this past Sunday. Bearing an uncanny likeness to the NFL star, fake Brady took the place of real Brady, who is currently on a four-game suspension.

In video that has since gone viral, the masked imposter stops for photo opps with tailgaters and passes the football around before the game.

But in all seriousness, this thing is almost too creepy. From the smirk to the '90s-inspired hair flow, fake Brady and real Brady are hardly discernible from each other.

The team behind #FakeBrady stopped by the Today show to explain how the idea came about, telling the completely freaked out anchors, "We just wanted to do something really cool because we knew Tom Brady would be out the first four weeks so we figured, what would happen if he showed up at a tailgate or if he showed up at a football game?"

Cool? Maybe to some. Terrifying? Very much so.

As for how the "very, very expensive" mask was created, it took months for fake Brady to come to life, and each of the hair follicles on its face were sewed on by hand.

With Halloween right around the corner, we can only imagine the Patriots diehards who'll be lining up to snag their own version of the mask.
