It's safe to say we're already rooting for Team Valaur on Dancing With the Stars this season.
In E! News' exclusive video, Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez and her professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy meet for the first time, and their introduction basically defines the term "meet-cute," as they both are so excited to have landed each other as partner's for the upcoming season of the ABC reality hit series.
"This is so cool," Laurie gushes after hugging Val, who quickly spins her around. "Look at you, I was just watching you on TV," he says. Yes, they really are that adorable!
But Laurie quickly gets down to business, asking her new dance partner, "So, we're, like, going to win this thing, right?" And she's ready to break out a secret weapon: flips! "There's a lot of flips that I can teach him," she says, before showing off her moves on the floor for Val, who then joins her.
And judging from the dancing we quickly get to see in the exclusive video above, they may be the ones to beat in season 23, which also finds celebs such as Ryan Lochte, Jana Kramer, Vanilla Ice, Marilu Henner and more competing for the mirrorball trophy.
And when E! News caught up with the new cast, they all predicted Laurie would be their toughest competition in the ballroom. Pro Emma Slater said, "I'm sorry, but how can you compete with a girl that beautiful, with eyes that big, who looks like a Disney deer, and who's going to dance amazing?" Sharna Burgess added, "Her and Val's partnership is amazing already!"
DWTS premieres Monday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
