It's official: Joe Manganiello is taking on the role of Deathstroke in Ben Affleck's solo Batman movie.
The Wall Street Journal was first to report the casting, nothing that DC Entertainment and chief creative officer Geoff Johns confirmed the big news in an interview discussing his role overseeing Warner Bros. movies based on DC Comics Characters.
According to the WSJ, Johns declined to comment on whether Manganiello's villainous character would have a cameo in the upcoming Justice League movie. However, the future Deathstroke himself did retweet a short video Affleck posted last week from the set of Justice League that shows Manganiello's character walking toward the camera.
