Watch: Chris Harrison on Nick Viall and "The Bachelor"

Will Nick Viall finally find love on The Bachelor? '

Chris Harrison is pretty sure it will actually happen for the three-time Bachelor nation alum this time around.

"First of all, I don't think Josh [Murray] is going to be there to steal his girl," the host told E! News' Carissa Culiner while promoting the Miss America pageant, which he is hosting this weekend. "The good news with Nick is that it's worked. He's done his part, he's fallen in love twice with Andi [Dorfman] and then with Kaitlyn [Bristowe], so I know he can get there, and now it's just a matter of let's put him in the right spot to succeed, and hopefully he will find someone that will reciprocate that love."

The reveal that Nick would be the new Bachelor was met with complete shock by many fans, who were just sure Luke Pell was getting the job. Luke himself was also pretty certain, and has spoken out about how he had his bags all packed for a trip to L.A.

"We always have multiple candidates," Harrison explains. "That's usually always how it works. We always keep our doors open, because at the end of the day, the most important thing for us is that someone is sincere, and that they are honest about coming on The Bachelor to find love. At the end of the day, it got to the point where we felt like Nick was that guy."

However, the fact that Nick got the job isn't anything against Luke.

"Luke was great, and I think people need to understand this isn't an indictment on Luke," Harrison stresses. "He's a great guy, a super nice guy, and we may see him next summer in Paradise, we may see him as the next Bachelor. Who knows? I mean look what happened with Nick! You never know who could come back...I would still say Luke would be a great bachelor, but Nick, as of right now, is our guy."

Last night, we also saw the end of this season of Bachelor in Paradise, where three of the show's couples got engaged—Carly Waddell and Evan Bass, Grant Kemp and Lace Morris, and Josh Murray and Amanda Stanton. Harrison believes he can see them all lasting, and wants to host a triple wedding.

"That is my goal, either all in one place, or I fly from place to place to place in one day," he says. "I would like to host/officiate three weddings."

Of course, if you caught our interview with Carly and Evan yesterday, they revealed that Nick already claimed officiant of their nuptials, which just didn't sit right with the jack of all Bachelor trades.

"Oh Nick's going to take my job? Well Nick's no longer the Bachelor!"
