It's been a decade since Steve Irwin tragically passed away, but his family is making sure his memory is not soon forgotten.

The famous wildlife conservationist's 18-year-old daughter Bindi Irwin remembered her father with a heartbreaking social media tribute shared during what was surely a somber weekend for the entire Irwin clan.

"You'll be my hero for my entire existence. I love you more than words can describe," the Dancing With the Stars champ captioned a childhood photo of the father-daughter pair. In the snapshot, the Crocodile Hunter holds his little girl up with one hand as he beams from ear to ear.

The anniversary of Steve's death falls on their native Australia's Father's Day celebration, an unfortunate coincident that did not go unmissed by his wife Terri Irwin.

Sharing her own photo of Steve alongside Bindi and his now 12-year-old son Robert, the 52-year-old wrote on Twitter, "Happy Father's Day Australia. Hug your dad."

In the years since he was tragically killed in a stingray accident, the Irwin family has honored their beloved patriarchy primarily through their family-owned Australia Zoo. Irwin's memory was also remembered earlier this week when his father Bob Irwin shared a never-before-seen handwritten letter from Steve addressed to his parents.

"Probably one of the most unfortunate things in a 'Bloke's Life' is that it takes over 30 years to realize how essential you have been to build my character, my ethics and, most importantly, my HAPPINESS," the letter reads.

Steve continues, "At 32, I am finally starting to figure it out. In good times and in bad, you were there. Your strength and endurance to raise me will not go unrewarded. My love for you is my strength!" before concluding, "For the rest of my life I will reflect on the unbelievably GREAT times we've shared and will continue to share. You're my best friends!"
