American Gods Adds Beth Grant as Owner of Jack's Crocodile Bar

Exclusive! The Mindy Project star has joined the anticipated Starz drama

American Gods just got more star-studded, as if that was possible. E! News has learned The Mindy Project's Beth Grant has joined the cast of Bryan Fuller's upcoming Starz series in a recurring role as Jack, the owner of Jack's Crocodile Bar.

Grant is currently slated for at least two episodes of American Gods.

This is the fourth time Grant and Fuller have worked together. Grant, who plays wise-cracking receptionist Beverly on The Mindy Project, previously collaborated with Fuller on Mockingbird Lane, Wonderfalls and Pushing Daisies.

Grant has more than 200 credited screen roles, including flicks such as Rain Man, No Country for Old Men, To Wong Foo Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar and The Artist, as well as Natalie Portman's Jackie. On the small screen she's popped up in everything ranging from The Golden Girls to Grey's Anatomy.

The cast of American Gods, which is based on Neil Gaiman's book about the rise of new gods representing pillars of American obsessions including media, celebrity and technology, also includes Ian McShane, Gillian Anderson, Crispin Glover, Orlando Jones, Cloris Leachman, Kristin Chenoweth, Jeremy Davies, Ricky Whittle, Pablo Schreiber and many more.

Whittle stars as Shadow, an ex-con who gets involved in a war between the old and new gods. See the Comic-Con trailer over here. Anderson, who has also collaborated with Fuller before, will play Media, the new gods' spokesperson of sorts. She'll channel various pop culture icons in the series, including Marilyn Monroe.

The series is one of the most anticipated shows of 2017.
