Watch: North and Saint West Changed Kanye's Perspective

Becoming a father has reshaped Kanye West's life in more ways than one.

Speaking exclusively to E! News' Ken Baker after the opening night of his 39-date Saint Pablo tour, the "Ultralight Beam" rapper was quick to point out the impact 3-year-old North and 8-month-old Saint West have had on his professional endeavors.

"Everything that I do now is to [make things], I don't want to say better because who's to say if it's better, but fresher or doper. Make a cooler world for my kids and everybody's kids' sake," Kim Kardashian's leading man explains.

Not only to his children, West feels he has a responsibility to bring the messages behind his chart-topping music to a mainstream audience.

"Just bring art to the front," the 39-year-old said when asked of his goals. "That's my push in society... I use my platform that I have as a really well known artist to push art and make art equal to commerce."

Kanye also wants his fans to know that he's happy to be considered an inspiration to some, telling us, "[People] seem like they hate when they mention my role models like I shouldn't mention their name. I would hope that people would mention my name if I'm one of their role models."

As for what's up next for the performer, all signs point to tonight's MTV Video Music Awards. A source tells E! News Kanye will take the stage at some point in the evening for what we can only imagine will be a memorable experience.
