In case you missed, it Britney Spears will make her MTV Video Music Awards comeback for the first time in 10 years.

And a lot has been made of the pop sensation's highly-anticipated return to the VMAs stage. Will she rock her iconic red leather jumpsuit à la "Oops I Did It Again?" Can we expect a onstage smooch from none other than Madonna and Christina Aguilera

But most importantly, how does Brit Brit herself feel about finally reviving her status as the queen of the VMAs? The "Make Me" songstress stopped by the Cubby and Carolina In The Morning radio show on Friday to dish all things leading up to her big performance on Sunday evening.

"I think there's something in the air with the VMAs. It's like electric. I can't really explain it," Spears admitted.

The 34-year-old continued, "Every time I've performed there it's always been one of those really big, nerve-racking experiences and the people that come, those celebrities, are so much fun and different... I still get very nervous."

Britney's nerves are almost hard to believe given that she performs to thousands of screaming fans almost nightly for her Las Vegas concert residency, but we'll take that as the sign of a true performer. After all, it's Britney bitch.

While much of her VMAs details have been kept under wraps, we do know the singer will give a debut performance of her new song "Make Me..." featuring G-Eazy, which is off her upcoming album Glory. We can't wait to watch her totally dominate on Sunday, Aug. 28 at 9 p.m. when the VMAs go live from Madison Square Garden in New York City.
