You can take the boy out of the Jersey Shore, but can you take the Jersey Shore out of the boy?

One of your favorite Shore Store employees has a new gig: Vinny Guadagnino and his family are costarring on the new season of Food Network's The Great Food Truck Race. This season is family-themed, and will see Vinny, his mom, and his uncle cooking some homemade Italian food as they travel from Los Angeles through the California Sun Belt.

But even though a $50,000 grand prize is at stake, E! News has an exclusive sneak peek from the season premiere that proves he's still got his mind on something else: the ladies.

The Staten Island-based Guadagninos and their Carretto Siciliano truck will be competing against Bigmista's Fatty Wagon from Long Beach, Fortune Cooking from Michigan and Colorado, Grilled Cheese All-Stars from San Francisco and San Diego, Lei-Away Leidies from Utah and Hawaii, and Sweet Southern Soul from Chicago and Atlanta.

The competition will begin on Sunday, Aug. 28 at 9 p.m. on Food Network, and will see the families compete in a funnel cake-eating contest at a theme park in L.A. before their first signature menu cooking challenge. Something tells us that the food truck rookies might have a harder time than they expect in the cutthroat biz. The season will also see the families travel to a strawberry festival, an ostrich egg hunt, a roadside attraction in Palm Springs before the finale on Catalina Island.
