Olympic memes are a beautiful thing. Forget all of his gold medals and many accomplishments; Michael Phelps won our hearts when he accidentally became a meme. His facial expression, which resembles that of Grumpy Cat, came to be as he waited patiently for his event the other day. The moment brought on the hashtag "#PhelpsFace," and a million memes to follow. Let's not forget when the 2012 Olympics gave us McKayla Maroney and her "not impressed" meme, either. It's a pic, so iconic, meme enthusiasts still use it today. Thank you, McKayla.

The latest meme to join the ranks of McKayla and Michael? "Smiling Usain Bolt" blessed the Internet thanks to Getty Images photographer Cameron Spencer and his insane pic-snapping skills. The photog captured the world's fastest man cheesing for the cameras as he left his competitors in the dust. Obviously, social media lived for this moment and memed it into oblivion. A win-win-win for the photographer, Olympian and Internet in our humble opinion.

He's got a serious reason to smile. In addition to taking home some gold, the Jamaican sprinter has crushed numerous world records, including his own.
