Criminal Minds star Thomas Gibson got the axe following an on set incident with a show's writer, but he's not the first star to get into it with the show they once called home.

"Thomas Gibson has been dismissed from Criminal Minds," ABC Studios and CBS Studios said in a statement. "Creative details for how the character's exit will be addressed in the show will be announced at a later date."

Gibson has been with the show since its start in 2005. He was originally suspended in July after kicking a writer during a disagreement on an episode he was directing and starring in.

"I love Criminal Minds and have put my heart and soul into it for the last twelve years. I had hoped to see it through to the end, but that won't be possible now," Gibson said in a statement after his exit was announced. "I would just like to say thank you to the writers, producers, actors, our amazing crew, and, most importantly, the best fans that a show could ever hope to have."

Following the news, former Criminal Minds star Shemar Moore posted a since-deleted Instagram where he discussed karma. He never addressed Gibson by name.

"Lot of birdies chirping out there—the gossip is real. I hear it, I see it. I'm sure a lot of you do too, so I'll just say this: I believe in karma. Good things happen to good people. Honest people. Hard-working people. Humble people. People who believe in basic goodness," he said.

Now, Gibson has hired an attorney and he may pursue legal action over his dismissal. The actor is far from the first person to clash with the show they call(ed) home. Working on TV shows with long days and nights can get to people, it seems. Click through the gallery below for more TV feuds that made headlines.
