No shade to Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps, but there's a new friendship in town.

First off, let's remind ourselves how hard it is to beat their bromance. The swimmers are constantly flaunting their BFF status, whether they're sharing pasta in ice baths or just giving each other high fives. That said, after seeing the love between Aly Raisman and Simone Biles, it's clear that there's really no contest.

The Final Five members have been competing together as part of Team USA gymnastics during their time in Rio, which makes their friendship not that surprising—as dual stars of the team, it's up to them to encourage each other. But now that they've moved on to the individual competition, they've technically been rivals. Yet they've managed to prove their BFF-ness again and again, and the cute factor is just way too high to ignore.

It all started during the individual all-around—Raisman and Biles were competing for the title of best gymnast in the world. That's no small feat. Through the event they were constantly giving each other accolades and encouragement—the above photo of the two friends giving each other a supportive pound is just the beginning.

When all the (chalk) dust settled, Simone, who came into the Games as the most decorated gymnast of our time, ended up edging out her teammate to win the gold medal, with Raisman taking home silver. It wouldn't be surprising if there was a little bit of disappointment coming from Aly's end, but she started heaping praises immediately.

"No one goes into this thinking they can beat Simone," she told the Los Angeles Times. "I'm sure most people don't go into it thinking they can beat Usain Bolt either."

And it only got sweeter from there. When questioned by reporters about the teammates' standings, Simone said, "I think I was more proud of Aly getting silver than me gold."

"She's worked so incredibly hard during her comeback," she continued. "She's one of my role models, and I don't think there's anyone I'd rather share the podium with. I'm more happy for her than I am myself."

Are you crying yet? Then just wait.

When Aly got wind of Simone's heartfelt words, she took to Twitter to react and express just how much their friendship means to them.

"SIMONE. You're so sweet," she wrote. "Wow. We're so lucky to have such a special and rare friendship."

We know, we know...this is the stuff that Disney movies are made of, right? Now just try and beat that, Lochte and Phelps.
