There's no doubt that Olympic athletes dedicate their entire lives to taking home a gold medal, but who says supermodels don't work just as hard?

E! News recently caught up with Alessandra Ambrosio at the Omega House's Gold Night celebration for medal-winning athletes in Rio, and when asked to weigh in who's the fiercest competitor between Olympians and Victoria's Secret models, she didn't hesitate to answer.

"Well, you know we do work very hard, but the athletes. It's hours and hours and they give everything they can," the Brazilian beauty dished.

And even though Alessandra has nothing but love for the athletes that work day in and day out for their sport, she also revealed that models often draw on their commitment as inspiration for their own craft.

"I think we get inspired by them to do everything we can, to look as good we can and to inspire people," the 35-year-old continued.

Take her close pal and fellow Victoria's Secret Angel Adriana Lima's Brazilian Vogue August 2016 cover as a perfect example. Lima channeled her inner sports star for the Olympics-inspired shoot, which features the stunning model in a series of sporty ensembles and poses.

Olympians and super models, an unlikely match made in hot bod Heaven.
