Crazy Ex-Girlfriend ended its first season turning everything on its head. Rebecca Bunch (Rachel Bloom) finally got what she wanted: her former camp boyfriend Josh Chan (Vincent Rodriguez III). The two slept together and Rebecca revealed she did indeed move to West Covina, California just for him.
"Rebecca is still not a virgin and it's an interesting sexual season," Bloom told E! News at the CBS/Showtime/CW TCA party. "In some ways the season is everything we've wanted to do with the show because now Rebecca is more open about why she's in West Covina and what she wants out of life. She's a little closer on the road to finding happiness, which may or may not include Josh Chan."
What about Josh's now-ex-girlfriend Valencia (Gabrielle Ruiz)? And Rachel's sort of ex, Greg (Santino Fontana)? You'll have to tune in to find out.
Since Crazy Ex-Girlfriend made it to Netflix, even more viewers have traveled to West Covina with Rebecca Bunch. One of those celebrity fans includes The People v. O.J. Simpson's Sterling K. Brown.
"I loved the People v. O.J., so that was really cool," Bloom said about her interaction with Brown at the TCA Awards. Bloom was honored with a TCA award for her work on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend...but not with an Emmy nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy. However, the show did receive four nominations and Bloom did get nominated for co-writing a song from season one.
"The fact that I was even in the conversation to get a freakin' Emmy nomination was crazy. That doesn't happen to people! I'm grateful for what I have," she said. "And I'll get them next year!"
