InstagramSarah Michelle Gellar is right by her pal Shannen Doherty's side as she bravely battles breast cancer.
On Instagram, in honor of #MondayMuse, SMG posted a photo of her alongside the former Beverly Hills, 90210 actress and wrote a poignant message about their friendship.
"My #MondayMuse (and really every day #Muse) is my brave friend @theshando. I've always said she is one of the most loyal friends I've ever known, and now while she is facing the toughest journey of her life, she is sharing it with friends she has never met in the hopes of helping other people who are going through the same struggle."
The mother of two added one final powerful note, "That's a true friend."
Doherty revealed earlier this summer that she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the same time that she sued her business manager for neglecting to pay her medical insurance.
Then, just a few weeks ago, the 45-year-old took to Instagram to document her shaving her head after receiving chemotherapy treatment.
The Charmed actress posted six images detailing the heartbreaking process and at the end of the photo series she captioned the final image with two hashtags that truly said it all: #cancersucks and #thankgodforfriends.
