Is it just us, or does Britney Spears' latest project just make you go "ooh?"

In case you missed the big news, the pop superstar released the music video for "Make Me" Friday morning. The steamy clip features the 34-year-old and her dancers hosting an audition to help find the perfect love interest. Oh, and did we mention that every contender is a shirtless stud?

While the video is already getting thousands upon thousands of views, there's one detail that didn't go unnoticed by loyal fans. When E! News stopped by the set of Britney's project in June, the video was being directed by David LaChapelle. In addition, the "Piece of Me" singer shared behind-the-scenes photos of the shoot on Instagram.

But in the final product released today, the director turned out to be Randee St. Nicholas. And that outfit we saw on social media? It's not featured in Friday's video. So why the surprise change? A source told E! News that there were simply "creative differences."

Randee has an impressive resume when it comes to perfecting music videos. In fact, his credits include Whitney Houston's "I'm Every Woman," Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away" and Miranda Lambert's "Dead Flowers."

"Make Me," featuring G-Eazy, is the first single from Britney's upcoming album titled Glory. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest Friday morning, the singer gave fans a sense of what they can expect once the disc drops on August 26.

"It took a lot of time, but I think we brought it to a level where I was really, really happy with what I had," Britney shared during On-Air With Ryan Seacrest. "It's cool, it's really different. I think this is probably the most hip-hop album. Not most, there are like two or three songs that go in the direction of more urban that I've wanted to do for a long time now, and I just haven't really done that."

And while plans for a tour have yet to be announced, Britney will continue her "Britney: Piece of Me" residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas with a special performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival.

"We're just going to be so creative and pull some tricks out of our sleeves here," she shared with Ryan. "Honestly, I haven't even began a creative process on this, but I do know this is one of the things where I do what I do—to think of cool things to do with other people and stuff like that. It's going to be awesome."
