What's the key to Kevin Hart's heart?

The Central Intelligence actor shared what makes him happiest with Entertainment Weekly, as their cover-man for The Happy Issue.

It's been a big year for the film industry, and Hart has played a sizable supporting role at the box office.

After having three hit movies—Central Intelligence, Ride Along 2 and The Secret Life of Pets—that collectively grossed half a billion dollars domestically in 2016, plus a new stand-up film, What Now?, in the works, Hart's status on the Hollywood A-list is indisputable.

And if his success in the film industry isn't enough, the 37-year-old is set to marry his fiancée, Eniko Parrish, this weekend.

So how does the man who has it all keep his eye on the prize? Hard work and a whole lot of happiness.

"I got lucky," he told EW. "Granted, I'm here, and now I'm working my ass off to stay where I'm at, but you can't foresee this being where it is now. I [tell] my kids, ‘Hey guys, where Daddy is — I went to community college for two weeks! Daddy rolled some dice."

As lucky as Hart may be, his success in the film industry was hard-earned. He spent more than 20 years being cast in minor roles and bit parts, all the while trying to make a name for himself on the stand-up circuit, where he's always felt at home. From role to role, Hart slowly but surely worked his way to being the box-office star he is today—and he says he's not done rising.

"I want to be global," he said. "I want to be an international star. And I'm gonna work as hard as I can to get there."

As much as he desires fame, Hart also knows how to stay grounded. Because at his core, the funnyman's a family man.

He's made it clear that although he's played a lot of parts, the one he loves most is his role as a father to his two kids, Hendrix and Heaven Hart.

For EW's Happy Issue, Hart, a.k.a. "Lot of Smiles" opened up further about his values and the things he loves most in life—and his favorite activity may surprise you.

"An activity that makes me happy" he said, thinking. "If I had to pick one: hand modelling. Hand modelling makes me smile like no tomorrow."
